Janelle & Alain’s Wedding – Moncton Wedding Photographer

While every wedding is special in it’s own way, there is always something different that gets me excited to shoot a particular wedding, whether it be the couple itself, the venue, the details, etc. I was excited for Janelle and Alain’s wedding since I shot their engagement session last Fall. They were just a great couple who I had lots of fun with. Plus, after hearing all the details from their day, I knew it was going to be beautiful.
With every wedding, I always contact the couple about a week before the wedding to confirm all the locations and times. Janelle, being a teacher, sent me a detailed Word document, complete with color coded boxes and specific times. From that moment, I knew the wedding would go smoothly and that everything would go just as planed; and it sure did!

I started early in the morning at Janelle’s parent’s house where all the girls were getting ready. Everyone was very relaxed which set the perfect mood for the day. The house was all set up for the celebration, including mirrors everywhere, food, drinks, etc., thanks to Janelle’s mom!
While the girls were getting ready, I made sure to capture all the details…

 

As I always say, it’s so nice to with Jason Roy and his team at Unico Decor. You just know the florals and the decor will be perfect!

 

Julie and Monika, the makeup artist and the hair stylist, were happy to show the girls the sign they are having made for their new salon Cocagne Fabulous Hair Studio. I decided it would be fun to hang it on the door were the action was taking place! Make sure you check them out; they did a fantastic job with the hair and makeup!

 

Food was not missing that day! (That’s just a small part of it!)

 

Janelle and Alain had a First Look at the Royal Oaks Golf Club where the reception was going to be held later that night.

 

We rode the golf carts a bit that afternoon to get a few shots on the course.

 

Then it was time to head back over to the house for more photos. The neighbours were kind enough to let us shoot on their property, which was a perfect setting for these shots!

 

The lighting here was just amazing!

 

Then, it was time to make things official!

 

Following the ceremony, it was time to celebrate! We made our way to the Royal Oaks Golf Club in Moncton which is just a fantastic place to hold a wedding ceremony. The staff was very friendly and Tara, the event’s coordinator was great to work with. Make sure you check them out for your own wedding!

 

While we waited for the guests to arrive, the couple and I took a few minutes outside for more pictures before the sun would set.

 

This was certainly one of my favourite weddings ever! The people were great to hang out with, the locations were amazing and the details just gorgeous. Thank you Janelle and Alain for making me feel at home on your special day. Your friends and family were very accommodating and made the day past by so fast.
