Lisa and Donald’s Wedding – Moncton Wedding Photographer

A few weekends ago, I got a chance to photograph my second wedding of the 2010 season.

I had met Lisa and Donald back in September for their Engagement Session and finally, May 14th was the big day for this couple! I started early in the morning at Studio 383 in Dieppe where the girls were ready to have their hair done. When I got there at 10am, a few girls where already getting their hair done while Lisa was patiently waiting for her turn. Here she is looking at a bridal magazine “for the last time”, she said!

When we made it back to Lisa and Donald’s house, it was time for more preparations and getting ready. Before Lisa sat down for her makeup, someone came out with a gift that Donald had prepared for Lisa. It was a nice album full of pictures of the both of them. What a special gift that made all the girls get a little teary-eyed!

 

While Lisa was getting her makeup finalized, I took the time to shoot a few detail shots.

 

Now that the girls were all ready, my assistant Nathalie and I headed over to the hotel where the guys were getting ready. When we got there, they were all ready and dressed so we took the time to take a few shots of the groom and his groomsmen.

 

Lisa and Donald decided to have a First Look since the ceremony was only at 7pm and it would have been dark after for the pictures. Even for couples getting married a bit earlier, I always suggest a First Look. It makes the moment so much more special when the groom can finally see his bride for the first time that day. When you see each other for the first time at church, it’s hard to talk, kiss, hug and just plain enjoy the moment. That’s why I would encourage everyone to have a First Look on their wedding day! Plus, you end up with special pictures like these:

 

The reception was held at the Memramcook Resort. It’s always nice to shoot there since the grounds are so nice!

 

 

We then had a bit more time for a few shots of the bride and some of the groom. Finally, we had fun with the bridal party shots!

 

After all the photos, we headed over to Notre-Dame for the ceremony…

 

Then it was back to Memramcook to get the party started!

I want to wish Lisa and Donald a happy life full of love and laughter. Thank you very much for letting me share this special day with you and your friends/family!
Also, a big thanks to Nathalie (my assistant) for all her help that day! She drove me around all day and held my cameras so I could relaxe a bit! Thank you! 🙂
