Annie & Maxime’s Bouctouche Engagement Session – Moncton Photography

I’ve known Annie and Maxime since… well… since we started elementary school! Several years ago while we were all at university, I told Maxime that I would shoot a session with the both of them just for fun and practice  (back then I was just starting out with photography). Being students and just busy with life in general, we never got around to it. When Maxime proposed to Annie a while back, I thought it was the perfect time to have the session. Our planned couple session had now turned into an engagement session!

Annie and Maxime are planning a fall 2012 wedding and I’m sure it’s going to be amazing! Until then, enjoy the e-session!

Country Boy, City Girl – A Stylized Shoot – Moncton Wedding Photographer

After having shot a wedding with Matt & Chera Yorke, we knew we had to work together again so we talked about getting a few models and shooting just for fun. Last May/June, Jill of Scuffed Boots Photography, Chera and myself were having lunch and we decided to get the ball rolling on the project. It started as a small shoot, then came way too big for what we had time for and finally shaped into something that was possible. We discussed the idea of including Designs Studio & Co. into the mix to create something that we knew would be incredibly beautiful. Our idea for the shoot was to create a country themed wedding look and once we had everything worked out, the whole team met at Jill’s farm, just outside of Moncton. Jill’s parents even contributed to the shoot by making sure everyone was fed before starting (a big thanks to Jill’s parents!).

For a behind the scenes look at the shoot, check out this video shot by Jill!

I’d like to thank everyone who was involved in the project. Without everyone’s help, this would not have turned out the way it did!

Erin & Devon – our AMAZING models! These two knew how to WORK IT for the camera!

Christina and Jason’s Fredericton Engagement Session – Fredericton Wedding Photography

Christina and Jason will be getting married in just a few weeks on New Year’s Eve at the Kingswood Lodge in Fredericton so I wanted to share some of their engagement pictures I shot with them a few months ago. I’m glad we decided to have the session in Fredericton because there were lots of new locations to discover! Christina and Jason’s children also joined us at first for a few family shots on the golf course.

I’m also looking forward to the wedding for a few reasons: new venue (for me), winter wedding and great people! As much as we don’t like the snow, Christina and I are hopping for lots of it before the wedding so we can shoot outdoors!

Anyone else had a winter wedding with lots of snow?!

Jenny & Jeremie’s Engagement session – Moncton Photography

One of the most popular questions I get when discussing engagement sessions with clients is: where should we go for the session? I then go on to explaining how they should chose a location that is either meaningful to them, or to chose a certain look/feel that represents them.

When I was exchanging emails with Jenny to find a date for the session, I wrote to her something along these lines: Did you have a look/location in mind for the shoot? And then, to my surprise, I got this response (or something like it!): “we were thinking about doing it in our backyard. lol”. She then went on explaining how there was a field, interesting buildings and the beach. Ehhh… YEAH! While Jenny thought it was funny and asking what I thought of the idea, I was already looking forward to the session. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the “typical” places I usually shoot, but it’s always fun (for me!) to see change and it just makes the session that more special for the couple. So remember, if you are planning locations for your shoot, think about what inspires you, what you love, what makes you YOU.

Francine & Daniel’s wedding at La Teraz – Moncton Wedding Photographer

Wow, do I even still know how to do this?! I haven’t blog a full session or wedding since August! That’s how September, October and November have been crazy… and it doesn’t stop there. Still lots of things on the go, but I thought it was important to take a few minutes and share some of this summer’s weddings.

First on the list of things to blog was Daniel and Francine’s wedding. Now I normally explain a bit how the day went, fun things that happened along the way, etc., but it had been so long since their wedding I didn’t even know where to start! However, looking back through the full set and picking out a few highlights from the day, I quickly remembered what a great day it was. Like every wedding, it was full of love, laughs and happiness. That doesn’t mean the wedding was like any other… Like I always say, each wedding is unique on its own because of the people who are a part of it. And as always, I was lucky to be surrounded by people who made the day fly by!

I’m really excited to be showing these highlights from Francine and Daniel’s wedding. I hope you enjoy them, and don’t worry, I will make an effort to blog before another 3 months pass, that’s a promise!
